Making Portland residents and visitors aware of all the incredibly talented, hard-working, and passionate trans business owners, services, and artists of the city and how they can directly support them! 

About

 The Portland Trans Awareness Project began in November 2023 coinciding with Trans Awareness Month when "transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the trans community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community" (GLAAD). Created by members of the Portland trans community, the Portland Trans Awareness Project Directory aims to highlight and support trans-owned businesses & services, and feature trans artists. ​
